Dan Wesson is a manufacturer of interchangeable barrel revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. The company also created specific ammunition for these revolvers.

The firm was established in 1948 to produce screwdrivers and small tools. In 1968, its founder, Dan Wesson, the great-grandson of the co-founder of the Smith&Wesson1 firm, invented a revolver and the firm became Dan Wesson Firearms. It expanded in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1983, it moved but stayed in the same state. It went bankrupt in 1995 despite the production of a high-end clone of the Colt M1911.
