FPS is proud to present the first ZERO-SHOCK piston with a carbon fiber reinforced technopolymer body, 100% Made in Italy and with all metal teeth. This patented system by FPS helps to mitigate the stresses that the rack transmits to the piston body, making the entire assembly significantly more resistant and reliable than a normal piston. The piston material chosen is a carbon fiber reinforced technopolymer with high mechanical performance and a low coefficient of friction. The rack is assembled using MIM (Metal Injection Molding) technology, as this manufacturing process ensures dimensional precision and strength equal to that of solid-state machining. The rack is presented with the second tooth missing and the third already reduced by 0.3 millimeters, as this configuration predisposes the piston itself to an appropriate angle of engagement (AOE) and makes it suitable for high speed. The injected metal type is SAE 4650 + HRC38-42 ° hardening treatments, which is currently considered the best material on the market for this type of use. The sliding guides are designed to minimize friction and retain lubricant for a long time. The rack seat is offset to facilitate the coupling between the piston teeth and the sector teeth. Longitudinal reinforcements on the sides of the teeth increase the robustness of the piston and prevent the rack from contacting the inner wall of the cylinder. Appropriate ribs reduce the contact surface between the spring and the inner part of the piston, thus also decreasing friction between the metal and the polymer during contraction and elongation due to the cooking cycle. 100% MADE IN ITALY 100% MARUI COMPATIBLE
