Airsoft FPS Piston with all metal teeth (PM02)

FPS is proud to present the first piston with a body made of 100% technopolymer, manufactured in Italy, and with all-metal teeth. For the piston material, POM C was chosen, a polymer with high mechanical performance and a low coefficient of friction, making it self-lubricating. The rack is assembled using MIM technology (Metal Injection Molding), as this manufacturing process ensures dimensional accuracy and strength comparable to that of solid-state machining. The rack is presented with the second tooth missing and the third already reduced by 0.3 millimeters, as this configuration predisposes the piston itself to an appropriate angle of engagement (AOE) and makes it suitable for high speeds. The type of injected metal is SAE 4650, which is currently considered the best material on the market for this type of use. The sliding guides are designed to minimize friction and retain the lubricant for a long period. The rack seat is decentralized to facilitate the coupling between the piston teeth and the sector teeth. Longitudinal reinforcements on the sides of the teeth increase the robustness of the piston and prevent the rack from contacting the internal wall of the cylinder. Appropriate ribs reduce the contact surface between the spring and the inner part of the piston, thereby decreasing friction between the metal and the polymer during contraction and elongation due to the cooking cycle. 100% MADE IN ITALY 100% MARUI COMPATIBLE
